| 412800 | 2005-12-15 00:28:00 | I am buying a new digital camera, $500 - $600 range. I am impressed with the fuji range. Will be used to photograph products for the web, also will take it tramping. Size and weight is not an issue. Any recomendations in that price range. |

| 412801 | 2005-12-15 01:49:00 | I liked the Fuiji Fine pix cameras, nearly got one but went with my fathers recommendation of the Minolta (he's a photographer). The S5600 is in your budget....best thing would be to check out a bunch of reviews and decide from there... It will do video too in case that matters. |

| 412804 | 2005-12-15 05:43:00 | Rob, as Pctek suggests the Fuji S5600 would be a good choice. I've had excellent results from Fuji cameras. Started with a 2800 (2mp), then the S602 (6mp), and now the S9500 (9mp). The S5600 is similar with the 10x optical zoom lens. Having said that, there are very many excellent cameras like Canon, Panasonic, Olympus. Makes the choice very hard, but the 5600 will do all you want & more. | Bazza (407) | ||
| 412805 | 2005-12-15 05:51:00 | I checked all the brands out before I bought a Fugi S5500 to take to sea. It takes awsome pics and is simple to use,and extra lens kits are available. It also prints to A3. So I'd recommend this model obviously. Hook. |

| 412808 | 2005-12-15 07:37:00 | I have a Fuji S602 as well, cant fault it for flexibilty. Having the option of manual settings (including manual focus) is a plus, if you don't want to "point and shoot". Have a 1.8x teleconverter lens for it. For convenience as "point and shoot" I use a Nikon Coolpix. As all my photos are used in technical reports, I do not need more than 3 MP (in fact thats a bit too large usually), but I do need a good macro. The Fuji macro goes to 10mm, its simply amazing. |

(Just had a look - its discontinued, sob) My Father sold his and got the Z10 or 20 - I forget which... At the time I got it it was a toss-up between Fuji and this - both similar specs. The Minolta mainly won cause Camera House suddenly had a sale on it. I like the 5600....
