| 415566 | 2005-12-24 21:17:00 | Does anyone know what caused the big power cut in Western parts of Auckland/Waitakere City on Friday afternoon? It was fairly extensive - Te Atatu, Glen Eden, Oratia, Waiatarua, Titirangi, Henderson Valley (at least), and went from 14:45 to 19:45 (for us). Not sure which elec. provider does it but after a certain time if the electricity is not back on you do not pay electricity for that month. Of course they don't tell you and you have to call them to verify it. It may have been the lines proveder Vector. |

| 415573 | 2005-12-25 00:40:00 | Yeah the shore has had quite a few. Which wasn't so bad, it kicked me off the computer, made me open the curtains are read. Then I remembered I had a laptop with a full battery so that didn't last long. They thought they could fool me. What did piss me off however was when the power went off (and I'm guessing a power surge) which killed my router. This was a 4pm on a Saturday evening. Sucky. No internet till Monday was horrible. |
