Any who I now have a couple of USB 2.0 Cables to Camera cables (www.imagef1.net.nz) Unfortunately I do not know the type of plug and what sort of cameras/devices use them. Its the one on the left that I'm concerned with. The one on the right I know as thats the one I use. |

| 414767 | 2005-12-23 00:12:00 | There are at least three different "mini" B connectors used for cameras. Some are 5 pin, some are 4 pin. I think the one you are wondering about is used by Kodak, among others. (The fifth pin in the 5-pin ones is just connected to one of the other pins ... it's a "switch" which tells the camera that it's been plugged in (maybe turns its power on?). There's one I have yet to see a cable for: a Mustek (?) G-300 uses a small rectangular 4 pin connector. (Your 4 pin one has beveled corners, and is closer to square). I got the camera very cheap ($1) as a non-worker; it works now, but I can't get the pictures off it. One day I'll fit the smallest soldering tip and put on a different connector. |
