May treat myself to a trial lesson flight at a local aero club :) Bro got a new basic PC a few days before Xmas so that was a bit of fun as well. Just a Sempron AMD with builtin video. He last one was a AMD 200Mhz. What would be nice if a DVD Writer. A nice Christmas dinner with family. Played MS Flight Sim 2002 the first time, had since 2001, its playable thou need a flight stick, graphics prob not the best but its playable. Played the demo of Call of Duty 1 but crashed. How you gamers find Splinter Cell? Call of Duty to me is a bit boring or too serious, it does not have a story and just sets of military missions. Isn't Boxing Day supposed to be the official day to open presents? |

"In Britain because many servants had to work for their employers on Christmas day they would instead open their presents (i.e., boxes) the next day, which therefore became known as Boxing Day." This is one of the options offered by Wikepedia - sounds authentic to me. |

| 415656 | 2005-12-27 11:14:00 | For Xmas I got several days of cold, and very heavy rain. And food poisoning. All in lovely Invercargill. I strongly suspect that WInston001 may have had something to do with the food poisoning (as he knew I was down there) but lack full proof to the required level of "preponderance of probability" at this point... Did I mention that it rained, people had fires going and it was 10°?Ouch x 10 :( Bad timing, because my missus' cousin was down there recently for a visit from Netherlands and said she experienced the warmest weather yet during her 6 week visit to NZ. |

Southland has had some of the best weather in the country this year though. Where were you dining? |

| 415659 | 2005-12-27 22:58:00 | My old boy has had his for 40-something years, so we still have no idea what the hairy chap actually looks like. I know of only a single photo of him taken before he grew his beard and that resides in the collection of some far off relitive.... |
