That looks more like a problem with dreamhost - my guess is that whoever owns that blog requested a unique IP, and dreamhost assigned the one your site was using to them, and forgot to tell you.

Just go into the domain section of the dreamhost control panel and see what the new IP for your site is. If it's the same as the IP listed here, then Dreamhost has screwed up in a big way, and it's time to email support.

682311 2008-06-25 06:35:00 no, thats how long i have had it for.
Got a reply, he's sent an email off to DreamHost and hopefully it will be sorted out soonish rather than later.
with hosting, he wouldn't become a moderator if he wasn't trusted.

Still that sort of thing shouldn't have happened, unless you accidently did it yourself by modifying the domains settings.

Although the buck stops with the reseller. Dreamhost isn't a host I would ever use as I have heard of people who have had problems with them in the past.

682314 2008-06-25 07:10:00 I have had this problem a couple of times in the past.

1st one: I was sold a Domain name which was already taken,it was a "com" changed this to "co.nz" at no extra charge.
2nd one: Someone had taken out an alias name for their website which happened to be the same as mine.

As the offending address is in UK there could quite easily be a match, especially with "com" as it is world wide.

If it continues get you host ISP to alter your name (at no charge).

www.acronum.net.nz/ http:

I have used Utopia.co.nz to host web sites for many years, always sort things out.

Don't you have a hosting control panel, where you setup things such as new email addresses, databases, etc, as I assume you can make that sort of modification from there.

The hosting control panel is nothing to do with google apps. It is where you control all your hosting settings, view your website statistics, setup hotlink protection, Mysql databases etc. Hosting control panels brands include cPanel, Enisem, Plesk etc. Doesn't sound like you have got much control over you account which is a worry. If I was you I would transfer your domain to your own registrar, and make sure that you web host provides you with control panel. That way you can eliminate the chance of that ever happening. It sounds very dodgy that that problem happened in the first place, what was their explaination for it.

Hello,

I am terribly sorry about that! I found that the Apache server was
horribly mis-configured and redirecting your site to that other address.
I ran a configuration update and the site is now resolving properly!

Please check it out and let me know if you continue to have any issues!

Thanks!
