415878 2005-12-28 04:39:00 yeah I just figured out it is on the 'casual' plan, $8/mb. That should work fine for now. Thanks for all the advice! Bill BillIrwin (8493)

415880 2006-01-13 07:56:00 Strange. Picked up a Treo 650 today (it's great), and used VersaMail (bundled with) to download 33 messages from our POP server at work. Then browsed one website. I'm on Vodafone prepay, and after checking my available balance after doing the above, my unused credit didn't decrease. I even waited a few minutes before checking. ???? chatoyer (2090)
415881 2006-01-13 08:24:00 It takes forever so be careful about how much you use the internet. maccrazy (6741)

You usally dont see any decrease until about a few hours later

But for making calls you see credit deducted straight away

415883 2006-01-14 19:05:00 Yup - you were both right. They hammered my prepay account.

Why do I get the impression this kind of thing is cheaper in other parts of the world. I mean, something is almost always cheaper somewhere else, but 1 cent per 1kb? That's a bit rich, isn't it?

415884 2006-01-14 22:52:00 1 cent per 1kb? That's a bit rich, isn't it?Especially when they don't charge you straight away because they could be charging you anything and you would never know unless you have a really good memory. In other countries it is far cheaper... maccrazy (6741)
