683023 2008-06-27 10:10:00 It has been some time now that my SWMBO can not read her school email from home. She gets the login screen (Outlook Web Access)(MS Exchange Server) but putting in her login and password just revert it back to the login screen.

We've asked the school techie and he mentioned that it may be my AV (Nod32) or FW (Comodo). I inactivated both, same thing happened. He also gave me another wemail address to put in (pickup.xxxxxxxxxx.school.nz/extension and I had to replace the /extension with /something else - again no luck. She's running XP, but the interesting thing is I can't access it on my PC - XP SP3.

Anything that may cause this problem that we or they could look at?

Thanks

Tried a different browser?
Does putting https:// make any difference?

683026 2008-06-27 23:08:00 will it help if I start up in safe mode and try it then?

683027 2008-06-27 23:20:00 Starting in safe mode wont help with the email.

From what was written its either a user/password problem, as that's the usual actions of diverting back to the log on screen if the details are not correct.

It could also be Comodo - just lately I have found some people block things that are meant to be allowed, turning off the firewall doesn't fix it. uninstall comodo completely, then try. If it logs you in then reinstall comodo.

I have had a couple of PC's over the last week similar things - removing Comodo fixed the problem, one here at the moment - no Internet, limited or no connectivity etc, no network fix worked, removed comodo- bingo - reinstalling it again now.

Nope, not the problem. Did what you said, restarted and checked - still the same. Reinstalled Comodo. Any other ideas? Perhaps another FW?

683029 2008-06-28 21:23:00 and no Wainuitech - the login and PW works at school, just not at home, on 2 different comps - my PC and her lappie (totally different programs on it). I was thinking it may be the w/less modem - that's the only common thing between the two?

So if you try to log in remotely from another location (i.e. not at home) do you have the same problem?

It could be the firewall in the wireless router, what is the model of it?

683031 2008-06-28 23:20:00 Can I ask a dumb question (I have a black belt in dumb questions), is her username the first part of her email address

as in her email address is sarelswifey@school.ac.nz and she is putting in sarelswifey as her username, If she is doing this has she tried putting the entire email address as the username, sarelswifey@school.ac.nz
