| 681862 | 2008-06-24 09:11:00 | I have a friend's old Pentium PC here that they want to upgrade to broadband and have it able to access other PCs on their home network. I have set it up and can successfully get onto the Internet. But I can't get onto any of the other PCs on my network (or, I would imagine, their's). There are some settings in the Network control panel I/O port address, Interrupt Number and Transceiver Type. Each of these has a dropdown list of options (about 10 of then each). I have tried a few combinations but it whichever one I try I cannot access any other PCs. What am I doing wrong?? The fact that it can access the intertubes and not other PCs baffles me! TIA PS Running Windows NT 4.0. |
