That would be unreal

416104 2005-12-28 04:35:00 We got a VR1 headset in, in about 1998 ish just when VR had all the promise of being big with a few Hollywood movies about it etc.

If was fairly crappy, never really tracked quiet right, and really gave the impression of looking at a video game through goggles. I have to say I couldn't have been less impressed. It would be interesting to see a new headset with a decent game, but due to the lack of interest I am guessing its still not very good.

I must admit, back then I would have though VR would be the standard by 2005.

Thats the thing looks "cool" but probably very little game support. Just like hydrogen cars, promises so much and delivers so little.
