ok looks like i didnt have my brain on when purchasing this laptop..i now see that 2.10 ghz is not enough to do a lot of required operations...
i am having no end of trouble trying to get a game the grandkids could play on it....

can not open or install game demos off pcworld dvd's from the last year

i am also having major difficulty installing software from my old pc that are now on disc onto this one with vista... even tho i have reinstalled them from same cd's on the old pc after i reformatted it for hubby to use....

any recomendations on what i could take off or change to help this laptop run more efficiently..

683198 2008-06-28 04:19:00 Wait a minute, that laptop is more than capable of running whatever you want. That's better than the PC I currently have.

What game and programs are you talking about specifically?

Games? On a laptop? Laptops aren't designed for it.

Grandkids? Stuff them, its YOUR computer, send them home to mess up their own computer. Grandkids are responsible for 99% of the problems I see on grandparents PCs. Have no mercy.

OK, why didn't you buy an XP laptop - theres tons of them around you know. I've sold loads - and only 1 Vista one.
Take it back, tell the shop its not suitable for the purpose, get another XP laptop.
