| 417441 | 2006-01-02 18:56:00 | I had to laugh when I was getting some bread at my local Foodtown in the next bread rack over, they have bread for sale, it is some kind of German type, (or it has German in the name of the bread) and it has gone moldy already. I have never seen moldy bread available for sale at a supermarket before. I suppose it goes with there grubby plastic baskets, it looks like people vomit in them, otherwise I can't work it out, just about everything you buy is covered in one way or another, so I did my shopping without a basket, I told the lady at the checkout I would of brought more if I had of found a clean basket |

| 417443 | 2006-01-02 21:30:00 | But Kiwis have a strange attraction towards white and soft wheat bread? I come from Finland and I am used to rye bread. Often German bread can be a mixture of rye and wheat, maybe 70% wheat and 30% rye but the fact is wheat bread goes mouldy faster. So if you go camping try to find a 100% rye or Vogels Rye & Rice bread so your bread lasts longer without a fridge. |

Our local new Pak n save is like that, many a time the packaging has been damaged while they opening boxes and stuff . this shortens the life of the product terribly . and Eric why post contriversial type topics, and then not expect people to post in reply? :waughh: so this year is no worse or better than last year? :p people dont change their spots that easily i see . . . . . . . . Have a nice day Eric . and yeah bread just aint what it use to be . . . . . but then nothing is, animal, vegetable or mineral, including people . beetle |
