You sure that fantasticware is that cheap to make? Can you buy the same thing in the 2 dollar shop?

I don't think so.

418771 2006-01-09 05:05:00 The $2 shop might not stock the exact same stuff . . . but think about what most stuff costs from the factory? A DVD player which retails for $69 can't possibly cost more than $10 or $15 at the factory (by the container load) . An "abdomenizer" for $39 . 95 will cost much less than that . . . the rubber band would be the most expensive part .

Plastic moulding is cheap . If you remove most of the normal distribution chain and sell only with cheap television infomercials, 99% of the price is markup . If people are buying the goods without seeing them, the quality doesn't have to be very high .

I've seen some fairly good looking knives in a $2 shop . I'd buy those rather than buy a $39 . 95 set from an infomercial . :D

418772 2006-01-09 06:26:00 Don't be tempted by the $2 shop knives - they are no good.
The Warehouse knives are OK. I forget how much they cost, but they are cheap.

418773 2006-01-09 08:01:00 Hey fair comment and fair warning. I was just wondering about peep's experiences with these products. All this stuff probably ends up at the back of the shed after not too long. Then eventually to the transfer station. Tsk. mark c (247)

418775 2006-01-09 08:37:00 Of course I buy from Infomercials, I mean the stuff must be real good to be on TV .

Then I sell it on TradeMe for a profit .

If you think the public are gullible regarding buying from infomercials, then you will not believe how gullible they are on TradeMe .

Made $13,000 last year!

418777 2006-01-09 22:00:00 Haha manicminer I do the same with my freebies from FlyBuys . I pick up the blender/pie maker/rice cooker whatever the points can get then sell it locally .
Made $29 . 00 last year .

Suprising you can sell it for a profit on trademe tho a friend did buy a mem stick off trademe then saw it cheaper in the Warehouse .

Another friend opted in for the Pilates fitness course (from Infomercials) and didn't like it and cost her $30 . 00 to get out of it . They were very pushing, saying things like "You enetered into a contract with us agreeing blah-blah coz you called this particual 0800 number and now you owe us . . . "

Wouldn't touch it now . Says when she gets fat and ugly and old looking it'll be a Pilates fault .

418778 2006-01-10 10:25:00 Sorry I took so long to respond, but l just had to look though my growing DVD collection, I could not find any links to Infomercials,

I wonder if you can get them on DVD and how much, I did a search for "Infomercials series 1", at amazon even tryed "The best of Infomercials" I guess I just lost out again.

418779 2006-01-10 23:20:00 Such things should be sold on Infomercial "shows". Those who watch have proved they will watch and buy anything. Graham L (2)
