Pity I didn't have one of those helmet cams last weekend on our trail ride - would have got some brilliant footage of several spectacular spills. :D The Boss did a real neat horizontal tail slide after accelerating too hard on some freshly mown green vegetation wet from a drop of rain half an hour previous. Other than collecting a lot of said green vegetation on the bike and stains on his clothing no harm was done. Next a show off passed me going uphill flat out on his noisy two stroke but hit a bit of a bump in the track at the wrong angle with his back wheel and he too went into an undignified slide, this time into a handy big gorse bush. Apart from a few prickles in his bum only his ego and pride were damaged although I had to do some fancy brake work to avoid joining him in the bushes. On the last round The Boss gunned his thumper past me on a long straight across a paddock... but forgot the little ditch near the end.... Oh boy, I really wish I could have filmed that one. After ascertaining that no serious damage was done, other than to the usual pride, I had the best laugh for a long time, much to his annoyance. :p :D He reckons he has a few badly bruised or broken ribs as they are still sore after the magnificent sail over the top of the handlebars. It's going to take a long time to live that one down. ;) |

| 417045 | 2006-01-27 05:41:00 | Seeing as you asked, We went to a hill country trail ride last weekend, Dangerous landscape, broken limbs were a commen theme, and if you went over the side you would have a broken body. Pity that this meant some on the ride rode at a snails pace, and seeing as we were on a goat track passing was near impossible. This also means most of the footage is dead boring, But I may wade through it and stich a few small scenes to gether to make a small movie.... |

Ouch!!! Touching/landing in gorse bush is not nice I would of thought!!! |
