683494 2008-06-29 01:56:00 I am trying to install ASUS Probe ll from the installation disk that came with my new motherboard. Motherboard: Asus Striker ll Extreme/NSE. When I install the program I get a message, "Access vialation at address 00000000 Read of address 00000000"

Haven't got a clue what it means. Anyone know? How do I fix, whatever the problem is?

Thanks,

683496 2008-06-29 02:20:00 Exactly the same. Have downloaded from 2 other sites as well. All will install, but with the same message.
When I open the program the information page is covered and none of the controls work.
Then when I close it the same message pops up.

Looks like a fault on my computer, but where?

683497 2008-06-29 02:46:00 The program's fairly useless anyway. Would you just use it for monitoring temps?

Cause there are far better programs out there.

Coretemp and Speedfan, to name two.

Open My Computer & locate the folder that PC Probe is installed in (eg program files\asus\probe).
There should be a sub-folder called 'record'. Open this folder & delete all the text files (i.e any file with the .txt extension).
Reboot & try running PC Probe again.
