683443 2008-06-28 23:38:00 I'm running Vista Ultimate 64 with an Nvidia 8600GT card and a Samsung 19" LCD monitor.
When I put my PC into sleep and wake it I get no video signal as my monitor power light flashes and the screen remains blank.
I have to hold down the power button on the case and completely restart to get my monitor working. I have no idea how to fix this.

683446 2008-06-29 03:32:00 Try the other output port on the card, are you using vga or dvi? SolMiester (139)
683447 2008-06-29 05:38:00 I was using DVI, I switched to VGA as suggested but still no luck supersi (8401)
683448 2008-06-29 11:18:00 Have you checked the "Turn off monitor after ... minutes" option? It shouldn't be causing a problem like this but never hurts to check.

Try putting the option to "Never"

683449 2008-06-30 04:26:00 some MB, Graphics card combinations have this problem, have a look in the BIOS and try changing the suspend mode. S3 or STR is the most likely to have issues in my experience, although also the best to use when it works properly, try S1 or whatever other options there are. There may also be an option to change the screen blanking method or to re-post the graphics card on resume, give them a go.

If all else fails a BIOS update may be needed
