417243 2006-01-02 04:08:00 Hi Guys,

Did anyone else happen to record the countdown on C4 that went from about 1pm thru till about 9.30 pm on Christmas Eve.

I got part of it, I missed the 1st 40 or so songs as I wasn't aware that it was on. :(

I also missed the top 5 cos C4 ran later than what was advertised. :(

Can anybody help at all?

I have the entire top 100 songs of 2005 that was on on New Years Eve and these will be finished being edited onto 3 dvd's this afternoon.

417245 2006-01-02 21:44:00 Why care about countdowns or charts?. Music is an individual taste and you should not rely on someone else's opinion or record sales to tell you what is good or No#1, to do so is being a robot. As it is the No#1 are often pre made lolly pop bands with no talent made up by some rich music producer and forced fed to kids in some lame clone copy music video (often rap).....puke.

Having said that there are plenty of great bands out there so don't get me wrong.

417246 2006-01-03 00:14:00 Recorded it to keep the kids happy, burnt them 3 dvd's with the New Years countdown on it, not all to my taste but I'll pick and choose and make up a favourites disk or two of my own.

What's has been good is the odd oldie being thrown in as well at times, many you see for a while then you never hear from them again.

I suppose it goes with the thread about keeping the artists alive with downloading mp3 clips etc.

I have taped music clips on video tape for years and recently moved some of what i had onto dvd as a more accessable resource.
When I originally purchased the recorder It was a thought that if i had enough time i'd be able to do something like this.
It's not like you can go out and buy anything similar either.

417248 2006-01-04 05:07:00 Anyone else notice they missed out a few Black Sabbath albums? The C4 countdown was exactly the same as an earlier one by the Rock radio station, yet C4 decided to miss out albums and jump aheard. Only seemed to happen with metal albums. Pete O'Neil (6584)
417249 2006-01-04 05:44:00 Yeah I noticed that only about 30 seconds of Metallica's One was played at about no 34, I thought it may have been a glitch as all the earlier presenter links were cocked up, and he was saying how good that last song was and about the band and yet they didn't play the song in question till about 2-3 songs later . That went on for quite a fair while . :groan:

Wish they could repeat something like this for a change instead of the same over and over each day eg select .

Blenders Ok though at least that has more of a mix . :2cents:
