MAke sure there's no spyware or viruses.
Take unnecessary items out of the startup.

417097 2006-01-01 21:10:00 Defragging wouldn't hurt. Although the benefits of defragging on the NTFS filing system are not nearly as great as on FAT32, they put all of the files anf folders together, making seek times faster, and ultimately make the hard drive a lot more useable. Haze (3028)
