| 684535 | 2008-07-02 04:30:00 | Since you refer to Linux as a "program" (it's an operating system) I'd suggest that you look for a "Live CD" version which boots from the CD and works without using your hard disk. Most computer magazines have bootable CDs (or DVDs) these days which have one of these versions of Linux on them. If you get one which asks how you want to format your hard disk, don't panic: just turn the power off. That won't hurt anything; a wrong keystroke could wipe your disk. :) | Graham L (2) | ||
