420231 2006-01-11 19:33:00 Eset have added proactive Rootkit detection to NOD32's Threatsense technology.

As highlighted by the Sony situation last year, Rootkits are a particularly dangerous threat with their ability to evade traditional detection methods. Once a machine is infected with a Rootkit, it is quite difficult to detect and remove, therefore detection before infection is a huge advantage.

If this was Symantec or McAfee you would have to pay to buy the new version!

I don't often buy software, usually grabbing an free/open-source 'equivilant'. No regrets buying NOD23 though.
