2008-07-02 08:29:00 | You may have to configure more than booting from cd. Altho setting the settings to default, should be OK. I would check things like the USB options tho. The settings maybe set to the lower 1.1 speed

2008-07-02 08:39:00 | just disabled PCI as that seems to be what the error is alluding to, might need the service packs slipstreamed to get it going though, not much hair left here tonight seems to be installing now fingers crossed

2008-07-02 08:44:00 | no its just gave the error code in my first post and said PCI have no idea but so far its working | gary67 (56) | |
2008-07-02 08:48:00 | Ah if this has PCI-Express slots that maybe the prob, you need SP2+ to install XP. If the XP CD hasnt got SP2 on it. After (if it installs), install SP2 / SP3 on the system. Then re-enable PCI PCI may mean pci.sys was crashing This sounds similar to your prob (www.dellcommunity.com) And the stop error is nearly identical to yours (unless your 9 was an 8 at the end), it'll be the same

2008-07-02 08:55:00 | No probs :) Dont forget to install or slipstream SP2 / SP3 as well. I've never use Acronis either. At the mo, I'm doing an updated ISO of my XP CD, to save me installing 10,000 updates. If I have to format again
