Anyhow, Last I heard Tana is coming to pay you a visit and spear tackle you for the disrespect.Nah mate - definitly no disrespect intended re Tana himself... just the Union that rips off us and the players. He's one of the most entertaining players ever... a real legend. |

Getting NZ a bad name.In fact they're responsible for a damn lot of positivity for New Zealand. One of his toenail offcuts would be worth more to the country than all your years of paying taxes. But you're excused for knowing nothing about the sport - playing silly buggers with a joystick does tend to hide one from some of our country's greatest achievers. |

| 419550 | 2006-01-10 09:57:00 | The word is famous. Why? www.irb.com Well, somehow I feel that the barbaric bashing and pushing and tackling each other off while running madly with a ball towards the enemy line doesn't sound too appealing to me. More like suicidal, actually. Why waste big bodies and massive strength on such activities when it can be better utilised? Cheers :) |

That's the beauty of the game, you pick up the ball and 15 people want to squash you. |

Cheers :)You really have to have played the game to know how stimulating it is. Having said that, there's a lot of women in the world who love the game from a competitive perspective (ie not just cos of the men in shorts!). My missus and I go nuts with enthusiasm whenever the AB's play. But ah well... different strokes for different folks. Eg, I can never understand the appeal of track athletics... they seem utterly pointless to me, but those sports have enormous popularity. |
