| 684228 | 2008-07-01 11:29:00 | Hi interested in purchasing the Nvidia 9600GT 512mb card, i look for this on google, trademe, pricespy there are all sorts of brands with all sorts of prices. brands such as asus, msi, albatron, XFX making them. i thought nVidia was the only one to make nvidia cards. or nvidia makes the gpu but rest body is made by different brands? whats the story guys. |

| 684229 | 2008-07-01 11:59:00 | nVidia design and manufacture the GPU. They also make a reference card for other manufacturers to use/copy if they want. Asus, MSI, XFX etc all make graphics cards using GPUs from nVidia, and also ATI/AMD. Just as with mainboards, nVidia, VIA, Intel, AMD all make the chipsets that control everything but the manufacturers listed above actually produce the boards with everything put together. They each of course make their 'adjustments & tweaks' to the cards and mainboards and say they are better than the rest. :D |
