420938 2006-01-14 08:23:00 How about blog? Renmoo (66)
420939 2006-01-14 09:51:00 Uh yes, I used to but it was becoming a novel . . . and scary reading back through it

May be good in the 'twilight years' when the memory starts to fade . . . but most of it would be too wild for an old prude in a rest home to handle!

How about taking 5 minutes at the end of the day and just thinking about the good/bad things that happened that day . . . sort of cherish them for what they are: life :o

420940 2006-01-15 20:27:00 LOL

Explain what you mean by a blog then?

And Shortcircuit . . . . . . finding it really hard to cherish things in life at moment, apart from my children . . . . . . . . . . . . . . so cant say im gona find that easy . . . . :waughh:

some of the ideas i had were like,

Thankful it rained today to fill my familys water tanks,
I sat at the park and listened to a beautiful sound . . . . . . . . . . . . . a child laughing, a bird singing . . . .
That i found enough money for the parking meter so i didnt get a ticket .
That i had a wonderful moment with my child, a great big bear hug, and a kiss . . . . . . .
Time for a coffee and chat with my freind, and laughter together .

not a all or nothing thing, about exactly what i did today, but things i noticed, or was grateful for?

Do we ever think about things like this?
or we so busy looking for that light at the end of the tunnel we by pass or other things in our life?

and miss out or ignore, block out any thing unecasary? - jobs, people, life?

:waughh:

god bless all .

420941 2006-01-16 00:30:00 I think he means blog as in a little web page where you can tell the world about things that happen in your day . . . sort of like one-sided Chat

If you managed to get a hug and kiss from your child I'd say you've got it all .

My dog died recently and I really miss the hugs and sloppy kisses . . . am seriously considering having children, uh- on second thoughts . . . . :D

420942 2006-01-16 04:13:00 This sort of thing is fine in private and may even be of interest to an archeologist in a few hundred years time but as a public record right now 99.999% of it is utterly boring. pctek (84)
420943 2006-01-16 05:58:00 Which is why it's called 'off topic' and the reason PF1 was split into two areas.

You don't have to read it PCtech... even better still- you don't have to comment, unless of course you're so bored that you have nothing better to do

420944 2006-01-16 21:06:00 I really wasnt looking at the point of expanding this info to the world, just to my future generations down the track......and im not sure an archeaologist or whatever will find me interesting, just as i dont expect all of pf1 people to want to read my posts.....

but what ever swings your bell....

this was just a simple question, striving for a bit of normality in my life to express things i find gratifying at the time?
who knows what future generations want to hear, i know my children will love anything that shows me, personality and life to them when i am gone.

420945 2006-01-17 03:39:00 I used to keep a daily diary and would fill a whole A5 page every day, sometimes more. I did this for about 10 years until I met my (now) husband and just ran out of time to sit and reflect. When we moved house I dumped them because they represented my 'old' life. I sincerely wish now I hadn't - not that we have any kids to pass them on to, but I sometimes think of when I was at high school, and then my first years of work and wish I had those diaries to flick through.

I do take the time each day to think about what's happened - and it's usually more about the good things than the bad. I work from home so I take time to stop and watch the tuis or feed the sheep or swans a slice of bread. I sit on the deck and read in the sun. And I treasure my husband and my family and friends. I write long emails to people so I am almost writing a daily diary anyway!

I am tempted to have my own blog but wonder if I have enough of interest to keep it going for more than a few days!
