684942 2008-07-03 10:45:00 Why does my new mobo say it supports USB 2 in the bios which has been updated to the latest but when I plug in my flash drives they say they are only connected to USB 1.1 and can perform faster if plugged into a USB 2 connection this is the front ports mobo is an Asus P5KPL-CM

684943 2008-07-03 10:49:00 Update to SP1, (SP1 + supports USB 2) or 2 or 3.

If SP1, 2 or 3 have been installed, the setting in the BIOS for USB 2 maybe on 1.1 speed. Change it

684944 2008-07-03 22:35:00 Your usb drive may not support usb 2.0.
Or your front usb ports/the headers they are plugged into are not usb2.0

If you plug it into the rear usb ports on the motherboard and the drive appears as usb2.0, then it is not a software issue.

Did this show as a problem in device manager?
Just wondered if drivers were shown as a problem.
