| 684790 | 2008-07-02 23:23:00 | Hi, I'm running Vista Home Premium and I'm trying to modify a file in a "read-only" folder in Program Files. I uncheck the read-only box in the folder properties, I'm required to provide administrator permission, a window shows attributes being applied however when I close the properties window and re-open it the "read-only" box is checked again. Any help much appreciated, Thanks Pete |

The system might be changing it temporarily, then setting it back. There's usually a good reason for such security settings. |
