| 684648 | 2008-07-02 09:16:00 | Hi. I'm running XP SP3. I have had Avast! running as a scheduled task for several months and have just added CCleaner, scheduled once a week. Since adding the latter, the former does not run as scheduled. Any ideas? Cheers. | A Team (13613) | ||

| 684651 | 2008-07-03 09:40:00 | Hi, Driftwood. Thanks. I have added the Avast! folders to the excluded folders in CCleaner. Not sure if it'll work. I'll watch at next scheduled antivirus sweep time. Ta. Hi, Speedy G. It is Avast! Home, but the Scheduled Task I'm talking about (which has been working) is the one in XP (Control Panel), not the one within Avast! as, as you say, that is not available in this edition. I'll repost if what I have now done is successful. Meantime, any other ideas? Cheers. I just changed the secheduled time in the Scheduled Task of Avast to a short time in the future and it automatically started. I wonder whether it depends which of the two Tasks was loaded / modified last? |
