| 422968 | 2006-01-22 13:15:00 | Right, the problem I'm facing is as the following: I bought a phone from them October last year, the price they offered being extremely seductive. I wasn't in a hurry to buy the item of course: I enquired about the warranty, which I was assured was valid in New Zealand under Nokia NZ (enquiry using my phone's IMEI confirms this is the case) and that they are selling the phone on behalf of an approved Vodafone dealer. The phone is specficially a Nokia 5140i running on a 128K (3G card) Approximately the middle of Novemeber last year, the phone started sending out empty text messages to people whom I have contacted via my phone. I have made a lot of enquiry, and all of them seem to point me towards getting my phone inspected for either water/liquid damage or faulty phone. This is where hell begins. when I received my packaging I automatically assumed that the delivery package clip was my receipty, and so I didn't think much of it. But when I was told to bring my photocopy receipt to the nearest Vodafone dealer along with my phone so that they could send it to the Vodafone-repair agent in Auckland for inspection, I discovered that my packaging slip coiuldn't be used. An enquiry back to them yield nothing. Of course, being pre-Christmas I gave them time to reply just in case of Christmas rush. After Christmas, nothing at all. It's was almost 1 month before I confronted them again last week. I keep pressing them for answers via email using the nicest possible tone, but the only reply was from Darryl asking me whether the other guy with the name of Time had replied. I reached my boiling point last Friday, confronted the guy (Darryl) on ICQ but he didn't give me any reply. A threat to post a bad review on resellerating.com (which would show up on google hopefully) didn't yield as much as a fart from him. I mean, people like him gives New Zealanders a bad name, because as an immigrant I've never encountered such a nasty salesperson. Pretending to pass the buck might not make me THIS annoyed, but he doing nothing at all just infuriates me! I couldn't afford to call them because I'm in Hamilton (my parent's going to kill me for both the call and the fact that I messed up just to save $70 when buying the phone from them for price below Vodafon's normal price). Judging from their service, I bet any sort of intelligent reply wouldn't be forthcoming either. So now I'm trying to find out whether this company has a track record of being lousy at after-sales support and contemplating on my next move. In the mean time, my phone's credit has reached zero. At least it isn't sending out any annoying txt message to my former supervisor. |

| 422970 | 2006-01-23 00:27:00 | Well, the problem is: they are selling phones on behalf of another Vodafone-approved dealer, which is not said on the invoice. Is warranty still valid? Damn, next time I'll stick with first-party dealer. |
