If you haven't used an OS for a while and can't quite remember whether a function exists or is available, this site is really helpful - using Flash they have made navigatable interfaces for Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP and Mac OS 8.6/9.

I mention this as I thought it would be helpful for any of you who happen to work in a helpdesk environment. It's been invaluable to me!

422230 2006-01-18 19:46:00 It is not as good as the original click through site - chasms.
http://www.chasms.com

There is an amazing amount of information on every program and system.
You have to subscribe to be able to access the latest programs but many of the older ones are accessible free.

It is worth paying some money for anyone dealing with different programs that they don't have or can't install to be able to see the configuration and setup.

Yes.

But.. I think the last time I actually used Windows 95 was probably in 1998 or so. It's hard to recall what happened yesterday let along 8 years ago.

Only if you have a photographic memory.
Its hard on the phone not seeing the persons O/S and trying to remember exact paths etc can be tricky - especially if they haven't been following your directions.
I used to use one of these at the ISP I worked for...it was handy.

I had assumed it was a joke as many of your posts have a humourous content.
That is a compliment by the way, not a criticism.

422237 2006-01-19 04:22:00 Wouldn't it be nice if the actual OSs worked as well, as quickly, and without crashing.

No viruses, keyloggers, spam, ...
