| 421764 | 2006-01-17 01:14:00 | Am thinking of buying a laptop in a reasonable price range (<1000) .Do I have a choice other than trademe ?? :help: | newuser (9635) | ||
| 421765 | 2006-01-17 01:17:00 | Look for a new one. There are usually quite a few around the $1000 mark. As the fashions changes, the last few of a model are usually marked down. Try Disk Smith Electronics, and other retailers. Especially with laptops, guarantees are worth having. ;) | Graham L (2) | ||

Also, Dell have an Inspiron 1300 on their site for NZ$1198 (www1.ap.dell.com) if you don't mind paying a little extra - though you get a warranty and some support, which is important. I don't think thats a bad price for a widescreen laptop, either, though I have no opinions on Dell themselves as I have never owned one. |

If its a bit of MS Office and browsing then $1000-1500 mark will be fine. If its even "Some" mid ranged gaming as well then the notbooks listed above won't cut the mustard with those pussy IGPU's. |
