421277 2006-01-15 08:05:00 Anyone seen this for sale in NZ? Can't seem to find it. Got the demo and it is really fun with my steering wheel :D mejobloggs (264)

Is it a recent acquisition? (must be time you gave rFactor a go)

421280 2006-01-15 08:17:00 Yeah, just got it as part of my new pc.

Logitech MOMO force feedback.

Finding it hard to get used to force feedback. Feels odd to feel it in your hands, but not the rest of your body (inertia etc)

rFactor sounds good. Think I will get flatout first though, because it is brilliant with forcefeedback.

421281 2006-01-15 08:24:00 Nice wheel, I just picked up the Logitech Driving Force Pro for christmas, Its marketed as a PS2 wheel but works perfectly on a PC.

You will find that their are 2 basic types of force feedback, The arcade style disigned purely to shake rattle and roll ya (which is excellent) and the Sim way of doing it, which is to convey "realistic" feedback to aid control of teh car and immersion.

I run my FFB at less then full strength, and turn it off on games like Flatout as it hampers the speed in which I can steer.

New comp looks sweet (playtech?) I bet getting that put a smile on your face.

Yeah, playtech.

Having some problems with it though :( nothing serious, just can't get the mic to work through my front audio port. Works in the back though.

Just downloaded egosoft's x3 demo. Looks sweet as! (www.egosoft.com gives you an idea on what the game is)
