When somebody links to a porn site stats page to prove us all wrong and show that, in fact, Mac users are a more pornographic breed...

George, I know inclusiveness is one of those popular words that get bandied about these day but, be a nice chap please and alter the "us all" phrase, so that it doesn't necessarily include me . Ta very much .

Ninja, are you going to deign to give your attention to post #51 . Ta .

421494 2006-01-17 21:33:00 Ninj, you say NOD sucks as hard as Symantic. My experience tells me that NOD32 is way better on so many different levels that it's no contest, and yet, your experience tells you something different. Should you have narrowed your statement down a tad to save all the poor, non-enterprise, souls who now think, after they've just cleaned Symantic crap of themselves, that they've stepped straight into some poo?No, I don't think so. I was posting my opinion of the product, and that is that it sucks.

A virus scanner should not be sinking it's hooks that deep in at an OS level imho - it's likely to set up for big problems.

It's up to the reader to decide how much weight they want to give it.

Ninja, are you going to deign to give your attention to post #51. Ta.Didn't see it the first time.

421495 2006-01-17 23:13:00 Fairynuff .

Hooks into the OS and fingers in too many pies is one of the main critisms of Nortons, albeit that Nortons exactly gentle, petite and is prone to falling over with catastrophic results, whereas I haven't seen any of this abberant behaviour from NOD (touch wood) and it does, IMO, an excellant job of it's stated purpose .

Is there any benefit in the way Eset have implimented the the mail scanning, or is it just simplar to do that way?

421496 2006-01-18 00:29:00 I think it is the easiest way to do the mail scanning. Avast does it aswell I think. Greven (91)

421499 2006-01-18 02:32:00 They said they had been reading all my comments at Pressf1 and I seemed quite the fan (meaning raving bloody lunitic  ) and suggested the official Nod32 forum for my queries. Metla (12)

421501 2006-01-18 03:01:00 But, um, the forum here is an offshoot of PCWorld.

See! Look! Amazing fact... the title contains the letters P + C. So what's your point in posting here if you don't use, need or have any other questions using common PC software or hardware?
Actually Greg PC stands for personal computer and a Mac is as much a personal computer as an Intel box.
