| 421462 | 2006-01-16 10:04:00 | I wouldnt trust Linux either. Mr and Mrs Blog happily emailing away, bit of surfing on their Xtra home page... Mean while out side a ligntning storm is happening.....zap ligtning strike to the house, knocks out modem in computer. :badpc:And what pray tell does the choice of OS have to do with a lightning storm?? Thats like comparing chalk with the young man down the road who was playing Playstation while talking to his mate about the latest GTA release |

| 421463 | 2006-01-16 10:27:00 | This thread now sucks. pressf1.pcworld.co.nz pressf1.pcworld.co.nz pressf1.pcworld.co.nz I usually keep out of your posts for obvious reasons. Why keep posting further after this post? Because you just want an argument and will go heaps to get one? |

| 421464 | 2006-01-16 10:32:00 | Show me where a good argument is happening and I'll go straight there.... True. Why not pop off to Iraq? As I understand it there is a fairly good argument going there. Actually anywhere in the Middle East will work for you at the moment. |

Add in an UPS will not do you any harm either. Cheers :) |

You already said that the thread sucks did you not? AIRI You started this thread, Then you said "it sucks". Further to that you posted more. Just pointing out your slight mistake as usual. Please note I did not call you a simpelton. I am very surprised you actually have an "a" as I guess it would have fallen off some time back. I usually put my "a" on a chair while posting and I think you don't have an "a" anymore. |

| 421470 | 2006-01-16 11:58:00 | Do the math your-self. As a modem when connected to a telephone line may be fried with a near lightning strike it matters not what operating systen is used. It would appear that approximately 90% of people use Windows of some version. The others approximately 10% use some other OS. At least the windows users manage to fix their system so they can inquire using PressF1, Google or whatever. As to the maths. It appears to me that we on PressF1 get very few questions about repairing MacOS installations. Most posts seem to be about hardware on PCs running a version of Windows. Alternatvely DUAL booting some version of Windows and a version of Linux. |
