| 421173 | 2006-01-25 02:37:00 | See thread: pressf1.co.nz They don't make them like they used to! ;) Ah yes, looked that one up,it is known to have problems on every 721million'th unit. The adviser in that link was a depressing fellow. |

| 421174 | 2006-01-25 03:49:00 | I purchased my first Panasonic MW from Harvey Norman in Sydney 25 years ago and retired it in full working order about 2 years ago. It was so old that it had a mechanical timer. It sold in a garage sale for $100. It never missed a beat, though I did replace the magnetron after about 15 years of constant daily use. It was still working, it was just a little slower on bigger heating/cooking tasks. I replaced it with another Panasonic of course. I have never liked Sharp products of any description, though I do have a Sharp TV that my wife won in a competition. Apart from Sharp, you can pretty much buy on appearance and price now, they are so cheap they've become disposable items and anything more than 5 years service is a real bonus. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 421175 | 2006-01-25 04:41:00 | I have a Sharp Carousel Convection microwave, bought in 93. Replaced a little motor that turns the table,$9 and put it in myself. I don't use it of course, but SHMBO loves it. We remain amazed that the convection facility remains unpopular here. |
