Yesterday's Howick and Pakuranga Times reports that over 80's drivers won't need to re-take their on-road driver's test from next year. I think it's a good thing. I mean, after all the years I've driven, I've never been at threat by an older driver. I've had two collisions in my life, and both the fault of younger guys. I see heap-loads of near misses, but never yet seen one as a result of older folk. (except my mum's husband who shoulda been licence-revoked years ago!). |
