1428781 2016-11-15 17:38:00 This could be interesting to keep a eye on

Malwarebytes are developing into a Anti Virus and is under beta at the moment

Malwarebytes 3.0 now offers combined Anti-Malware, Anti-Exploit, Anti-Ransomware, Website Protection rolled into one

With all those things it does, one hopes it doesn't slow the comp down.

But, yes, will be interesting to see how this one plays out.

Off Topic, that could apply to many things, I for one did not realize that the Democratic Party in the US was communist ideology.

Good instruction on here, is to get any software through a reputable website.

Also they have acquired Junkware Removal Tool

The usual AntiVirus products by the look of it have trouble with Ransomeware

Just not as well :-) , not as well on the important bits (malware detection)

None of the AV's stop everything, and they certainly cant detect/stop newly written virus/malware/ransomware till maybee a day or so later, when its too late
Thats where user stupidity and carelessness plays a big role . Opening suspicious emails, clicking the link or attachment

And not having backups, still an issue , for the sake of $100 USB HD : yes that still happens, on small & medium businesses: your data is gone, you have no usable backup.

1428788 2016-11-16 01:33:00 Malwarebytes while its Ok is still not as good as many make out.

Been countless time I've run Malwarebytes on infected computers, then run other programs pulling out Trojans , malware that was missed.

Just installed it to have a look . Phhhfffttttt BETA software and they want you to subscribe to it with only a 14 day trial ??? yeah - narr not going to happen.

Looking on their site, Known Issues: Just 1 it mentions,
There are a number of performance enhancements still in the works, specifically around memory and CPU usage
They got that right ;) 305MB memory usage, and 74% CPU.

And I just notice the malware protection keeps turning its self off.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if they go the way of other antimalware software, try to make it a "All in one" piece of software and in the end they go backwards and completely ruin it.
