In short, the Truth is their only defence. Microsoft’s response, if any, will be interesting. :) |

I guess some of the settings to turn it off was just a ruse www.express.co.uk but on the other hand "Most of the criticisms I've seen were based on misreading of the privacy policies for Windows 10 and for Microsoft's online services." www.zdnet.com I would bet all this 'spyware' talk is mostly just tech journalists just rehashing info found via google searches Few of them seem to do any actual research themselves, just rehash what others have claimed. Where is the ACTUAL proof . Im sure if MS wanted to collect all our stuff, they could do it at such a low level that it couldnt be blocked with a simple 3rd party app Many other companies do collect data on you , as much as they can get their hands on. Just reality of life on the internet. Got free email, chances are its being scanned & data collected . But when caught out slurping data or onselling data , companies allways reply with, 'that wasnt intended', or 'an accident' . Despite the fact that they designed systems just for that purpose . So who really knows :-) |

At some point in time you either clicked on something or installed one of their programs or another associated to softorbits, thus causing the advertising ( if you had read the terms and conditions or privacy policy - which no one ever does) it will usually say they send advertising.
