| 1428103 | 2016-11-01 23:38:00 | Presume you mean 8GB? 8mb wouldn't work very well!! It shouldn't be slow to boot. Usually that is because there are a lot of unnecessary programs loading. Download and run Malwarebytes from bleepingcomputer. See whether you have picked up a heap of PUPs. Clear and re-run till nothing else turns up. Then run Adaware from bleepingcomputer. |

OK lin still getting used to bits and bytes, lol. Will run those as mentioned above, which reminds me, must do wifey's as well, she gets far too many PUPS. Mainly use the lappy for restoring PAF5 to it, mainly take it to other rellies doing family history. Workhorse is still XP SP3 desktop. lurking.
