1426620 2016-09-29 06:25:00 About the same as a Male can pee standing up and a Female has to sit peeing

Will find that each device will have a different file system

When you download files you get a Windows or IOS and Android option and oh yeh a Linux version also

1426622 2016-09-29 19:53:00 I use Calibre as well. Some ebooks are .PDF format, and others are .txt files (eg books from the Gutenberg Project, and NZ's historical etext archive) and they will work on both platforms. Calibre will convert others to the desired format. Use Calibre on your Win 10 box and Calibre Companion on your tablet. I don't know about the iPad except for .txt and .PDF files. John H (8)
1426623 2016-09-30 01:22:00 Poppa John - how are you trying to transfer the books to your tablet, what format are they in, most ereader software should these days be able to read the majority of formats, if not you can probably download one that can read that format. I do know on my olde android tablet they have to go in a special folder or the default ereader doesn't find them, well you can find them by navigating the file-system but it never remembered so it had to be navigated each time. 1426624 2016-09-30 22:26:00 I have yet to find Adobe Reader on either of these gadjets. But I will keep trying. PJ Poppa John (284)
1426625 2016-09-30 23:47:00 Adobe Reader is probably not there by default - you may have to install a .pdf reader of some kind. In my experience, relatively few free ebooks are .pdf. They are more likely to be in .txt format. John H (8)
