1425792 2016-09-08 06:36:00 Nothing in the news suggests we should.
His 70 yr old landlord?? What an ********.

Well, he got a proper sentence this time. Should be encouraged.

1425793 2016-09-08 21:11:00 Think of all the savings he has made for the country... No lawyer fees on defense, no huge cost in jailing them etc. No future problems after getting an inadequate sentence and then reoffending. user (1404)

I don't think so personally, I think you already have to be crazy to take it in the first place.

As for this guy, nope don't feel sorry for him. I do however feel for any friends and family he left behind, just because he doesn't deserve sympathy doesn't mean there isn't someone left behind who loved him despite his failings who does deserve some consideration. Suicide is the ultimate cop out, a way to punish anyone for the crime of caring about you while you yourself don't face up to your own mess. It only hurts those you leave behind.

1425797 2016-09-08 23:05:00 "He sentenced him to home detention so he could treat his addiction to methamphetamine."
surely , jail or locked up somewhere would at least cut him off from his drug supply . Steal a car , allowed to go home .
If locked up he may have been forced to clean up & wouldnt have put others at risk.

I cant understand home detention. Its simply not a punishment, its not a deterrent . So why ?
Sitting at home in the sun for 6-12 months : sweet . sign me up.

It is the current "Catch and Release" policy operated by our justice system.
