So Question - WHY don't you do something about it ?

I am, I’m dumping Microsoft Products as fast as I can and you know it . :)

When you first started your New Laptop, you have to click I agree, other wise it wont carry on . in the terms an conditions that you clicked you agreed to its written there .

Just because you didn't read it doesn't mean anything .

AND in case you disagree I KNOW IT WOULD stand up in court . Using the excuse you didn't read it is NO excuse .

Nonsense .

Neither you or anyone else have any idea who ticked the box or who first started the Computer .

And here’s a little tip on how to make a Dollar . ;)

Write a little sign and and put it above the door of your shop that reads:

“By entering this shop you agree to be robbed” .

Then mug anyone that walks in, take their Wallet, and chuck them out again .

Let’s know how you get on and if the Police agree that by entering your shop they had agreed to be robbed courtesy of a little sign above the door .

I look forward to hearing the outcome .

As for Parroting off Microsoft’s terms and conditions, I don’t believe they are worth worrying about if they are “Caught” by our “Privacy Act” because you can’t contract out of a Statute or Act .

Any Lawyers out there? :)

So now you're saying it wasn't you that first setup the computer ?

If not then fool on you, you're an idiot for allowing someone to make decisions on your behalf.

Write a little sign and and put it above the door of your shop that reads:

AGAIN Fool on you -- I dont have a shop.

Stuffed that one up didn't ya.

I am, I’m dumping Microsoft Products as fast as I can and you know it Whats taking so long then, bit slow aren't you ? Most normal people if they really were serious would have done it months ago. But then I guess you're not allowed because to scared of the other half.

So I guess there is going to be an ongoing list of posts for months and months to come crying over what MS do. :crying

1428237 2016-11-17 23:27:00 Not sure if MS can contract out of NZ privacy laws though, and its a case you wouldnt win anyway . They have heaps of $ to spend on lawyers , you dont .
Google didnt get prosecuted for their dodgy behavior driving around slurping wifi data . Thats the sort of thing individuals HAVE been arrested for .

Exactly, they rely on Bluff, BS and $$$$$$$’s to bypass Legislation and if the Government had any balls they would step in and stop it .

However, it wouldn’t surprise me if they are in donkey deep with these big Internationals . :(

1428241 2016-11-18 01:47:00 Struth, do you operate out of a Cupboard? Nope I work like many people from home.

Got a large workshop out back all decked out with 5 work stations, so why pay rental on a shop when I wont be there some of the time, as I go out to peoples places.

I do work from home when required, like today got 3 Computers that are being worked on, just been out on two service calls to peoples houses ( left around 12.30, currently 2.46), while out got 4 phone calls making appointments for next week, and on returning, opened email with a request for 2 jobs early next week as well.

The calendar is filling up nicely again with appointments.

Anything else ya like to know :)

From Garys Post:
Microsoft and Linux are collaborating The preview versions of W10 can run Linux commands without a need for VM's, dual booting etc. As time goes on Linux options are being incorporated more and more into windows ( by Microsoft).

One article that may be of interest ( watch out for pop ups) www.wired.com

The opening sentence:
Soon you’ll be able to run Linux apps on Windows thanks to a partnership between Microsoft and Canonical, the company behind the popular Ubuntu version of Linux.

Interesting point here because with my Win10 Laptop I didn’t agree to anything.

Neither you or anyone else have any idea who ticked the box or who first started the Computer.
Whoever did the original start /setup would have gotten this or similar.
This is from an ASUS, 1st Option is set your language, second is the picture below, you danna click Accept, it will sit there till the cows come home --So Someone DID.

That’s fine, just put the sign on your gate and follow the rest of the instructions.

You’ll be able to afford a large shop in no time. :clap

My point is there is no knowing who clicked what, and despite Microsoft calling it the "Legal Stuff", I don't think there is anything legal about it, as they are trying to avoid the "Privacy Act" but are "Caught" by it.

I had hoped that someone with a "Legal Background" might like to comment. :)
