1428215 2016-11-06 21:53:00 your anti-MS stance is clouding your judgement

"The unredacted FCC report refers to a Google “design document” written by an engineer who crafted the Street View software to collect so-called payload data, which includes telephone numbers, URLs, passwords, e-mail, text messages, medical records, video and audio files sent over open Wi-Fi networks.

they cat is out of the bag, has been for years.
Ranting about MS: you're missing the point. They are all doing it .
Dont be so naive as to think its just MS, they are a minor player in all the data collected about you .

:)

On the Contrary.

With Google, what you failed to observe, was that their data collection was from Open Wi-Fi networks not Spyware that was Covertly placed in Your Computer.

Yes we all know that they’re all up to it, to various degrees, but Microsoft have taken it to all new levels and two or more wrongs still don’t make a right. :)

By using googles services you agree to allow them ( read their terms of usage posted before)

While watching a Fairgo Program they did exactly that, there was a full window display on a shop of a family's holiday snapshot, with the companies own wording /advertising, and the family had never been approached or asked.

actually MS was up front about it .
not so much when they added it to Win7 though .

Even printer drivers could be spying on you, 1 manufactures printer drivers got caught doing exactly that :badpc:

For the umpteenth time, I am Not OK with ANYONE mining private information from any source.

And as far as Googles and Microsoft’s Terms and Conditions go, I would like to see it tested in Court, because in most Western Country’s you can’t Avoid a Statute by Private Treaty.

So, if they breach say the Privacy Act, then the Private Treaty isn’t worth the tick in the box. :)

Well when they were caught and had no way out they did plead guilty .

Don't know if I'd call that "Being Upfront" . :D

then they get often just away with it :)

1428222 2016-11-07 03:32:00 And, let's not forget all the rights Android apps grab! I just shut my eyes and click Install as, otherwise, I would have to chuck the phone into the bin! linw (53)
