1426663 2016-10-01 18:01:00 They tend to rust less if you don't clean all the fat and oil off them after use. It forms a protective barrier. I rarely clean mine after a BBQ and it never rusts, rather I give it a bit of a quick clean as it heats up before use.
Also that built up grease adds some character to the food :)

Same why wipe off the protective grease as the Yanks call it? On start scrape it and throw some water on it.
