| 1425901 | 2016-09-11 22:55:00 | I like the look of apple hardware but I don't like the price or the restrictive rules about what you can do with them. I do like smartphones though so I bought a second hand Note 5 instead, I think taking advantage of other peoples upgrade habits and getting last years models cheap is the smart way to buy a smart phone :) My Note 5 cost $525 from trademe and I'm am very happy with it, got $250 for my note 3 as well so a relatively cheap upgrade (although surprisingly minor really). In my humble opinion what would make all smartphones better would be a universal dock and charging standard, of course it'll never happen but maybe at least we could get down to 3 - Android, Apple, windows (if it survives). What always attracted me to the iPod even though I never actually bought one was all the cool devices you could get with the dock on them and I've never seen anything else approach that level of peripherals since. |

| 1425902 | 2016-09-11 23:48:00 | Waste for me - I really only use smartphones to read/browse/follow sales when on the Go, pay bills, shop on eBay, Trademe, etc. I receive numerous daily newsletters and emails from blogs/TM, E bay, etc I follow - to catch bargains. I had to upgrade..to faster Android phone, since I was taxing it heavily by multi-tasking. But depends. Young girls in my family and my nieces seem to care about high pixel cameras and vid resolution to merge it with new Vid based Apps coming out, and blasting out sounds, along with selfie sticks.
