1428017 2016-10-30 20:50:00 Is anyone having issues opening https sites with Firefox, I am getting a high number of "your connection" is not secure notifications.

Some examples, emirates airlines, expedia... the sites appear to be random but weird thing is there are other https sites which work fine.

I first thought this was a profile issue (Windows profile) so created a new profile and still get the same problem.

There is also a problem with download the Adblock plus extension/add-on for Firefox, it says download failed I can download other extensions fine though....I completely uninstalled Firefox and deleted relevant reg keys, but still no joy.

Anyone experiencing similar issues?

reset Firefox
remove any AV web scanning addons . As a test only uninstall AV & 3rd party firewall

1428019 2016-10-30 23:36:00 I gave up trying to install and use Firefox because of those issues...

I could try again when I'm feeing relaxed and very patient - not my usual status!

1428022 2016-10-31 19:13:00 I had similar issues, but it was due to my adblocker interfering with some https sites.

If your AV software scans web traffic, check its not blocking https stuff.
