685694 2008-07-06 02:38:00 Ok so i splurged and brought a Toshiba A300, and after a few weeks being my usual self...decided to have a look at whats under the bonnet. (God should not have invented the screwdriver) Anyhoo....I noticed that it's got the usual covers...memory....hdd....that sort of thing...but wait...what was this...another cover....where the Wireless card should be....looks big enough to fit another hard drive in there....(Nooooo they couldn't have surely) Have they left a space for another hard drive...if so...are the connections there to plug one in?

I don't wanna risk pulling the entire thing to bits just to see.....

Perhaps someone may be able to enlighten me....

before the screw driver starts calling my name again

685695 2008-07-06 02:46:00 Look in the laptop's manual to see if it supports two hard drives.

BTW you've most definitely voided the warranty by simply taking a screwdriver to it :)

685698 2008-07-08 08:40:00 Me too!! My darling and I bought one, and now we want a dialup modem, Why? She has to be mobile at times, and the Wireless doesn't always find an open network.... pity....

Sooo, we wish we had bought the model with a dialuop modem aboard, we wonder if one can be fitted retrospectively, or are we doomed to have an extra box to carry around?

Is this not a modem builtin?, most if not all new laptops have a modem!
