685455 2008-07-05 08:02:00 now my pc does not turn off automaticly, anyone know the setting for this?? am not that confident with the bios, i have Award Bios v6. mark1978 (13845)

It sounds like a problem with the ACPI driver for the motherboard, rather than a BIOS setting. Go into Device Manager (if running WinXP or earlier, right-click on "My Computer", choose "Properties", and go to the hardware tab, there should be a button which says "Device Manager"), and see if there are any exclamation marks or errors.

He may have changed something in the BIOS but it should now be back to defaults, if you set it correctly. Are you sure he didn't change anything anywhere else at the time?

You sure you reset the BIOS correctly?
