| 424958 | 2006-01-27 19:37:00 | I got this email attachment the other day, I am sure posting it will not conflict it with PressF1 rules, as for me? I am just a plain old radio listener . Sometimes I think 35-40? radio stations in Auckland and that is the best they can do, how pitiful!! . _________________________________________________ MEDIA RELEASE Wednesday, 25 January 2006 for Immediate Release 1 page Music 101 on National Radio Contemporary music fans get something new this week when regular programming returns to the National Radio schedule on Saturday afternoons . Radio New Zealands popular three hour music show Homegrown will now be called Music 101 . Music 101 broadcast on National Radios 101FM frequencies around the country, can also be heard on AM frequencies, and is live streamed on the Radio New Zealand website www . radionz . co . nz The existing Home Grown name, with its decade long tradition of support for local music, is retained within the programme for a significant special component focusing on new New Zealand artists and releases with a specific spot for unsigned bands . National Radio Music Production Manager, John Pilley, says the Music 101 change reflects the developing content of the programme following its revamp in September last year . Music 101 continues to feature live interviews, music features and documentaries, focusing on contemporary New Zealand and international music, and exploring music issues and stories from a New Zealand perspective Music 101 is hosted by Sarah McMullan, and produced by Sam Wicks . | 424963 | 2006-01-27 23:39:00 | Reads like Spam to me. Yes indeed it does, I should reworded it like this, Does anybody watch that free to air crap on TV, pay TV has really screwed the enjoyment out pay TV, maybe if we say how good the crap is on free to air TV they might take it off and put it on pay TV By the way does anybody know what MUSIC 101, at 2pm-5pm Saturdays on National Radio 101FM is all about? do you think I should stop my glue sniffing engagement with the homeless locals and listen to the radio instead? |

I'd say go for it, sounds like your brain can't be any more fried... unless of course you watch Coro St while glue sniffing ;) |

| 424965 | 2006-01-28 04:52:00 | I am listening right now to the RNZ streamcast right now . . . it sounds a little like jazz-fusion-aboriginal . . . is that about right? There is a lot of synthesizer and keyboard and electric bass . . . maybe a horn or two . The sound of the bass rolling around in the background is different than most music here in the states . Not much compression of the bass keeps it softer and a little fuzzy if you know what I mean . . . kinda nice but something that'll have to grow on me I think . ' Gonna listen for a few days and see if I like it . . . . in the meantime, here's a link to a very popular oldies station in Arizona: . str3am . com/KDSK" target="_blank">wma . str3am . com and the biggie am talk station in Los Angeles: . eonstreams . com/ccri_ca_losangeles" target="_blank">live . eonstreams . com and for the vidiots who like coffeehouse music: mms://wms . partner-streaming . com/kulak1 |
