423411 2006-01-23 03:50:00 I am doing slide shows for my children of the days when they were young and looking for suitable music of the 50's,60's and 70's.
All the sites I have so far visited all scream out FREE DOWNLOADS but when it comes to the crunch you find out that you have to pay some sort of joining fee. My ***** is that you cannot seem to be able to sample the goods or even find out if they have got the particular songs you want before you start shelling out some cash. Is there anybody out there who know of any sites where you can at least find out about the goods before having to pay ?

423412 2006-01-23 05:01:00 My suggestion is to steal the music using a P2P program, I know this might sound bad and be frowned upon, but It's what 99% of forum members would do without admitting it. :2cents: plod (107)
423413 2006-01-23 05:05:00 Go to a secondhand record shop and look for real records. :D (Or cassettes, if you haven't got a turntable. ;))

You might even find compilation CDs of 50s, 60s, 70s music. I'm sure I've seen such things at the Warehouse.

The Federal laws here in the US allow us to upload and then send music to another computer IF WE ARE THERE TO RECEIVE IT AND HEAR IT AT LEAST THE 1ST TIME.

Send me airfare and I will gladly send MP3's by the dozens from the eras you request...just make sure that I am sitting in your home in front of the 'puter and open the files (whilst drinking a frosty beer and consuming some of your personal foodstuffs) so that the letter of the law is observed.

Send many US dollars, to me in care of any of the friendly moderators here. They can be trusted to forward the travel funds to me here in the US. I suggest Chill...he has an honest face.

PS: I only fly 1st class. An ocean trip would be nice too.

Sorry stealing is the wrong word as it has already been paid for by someone, you are just borrowing it.
