Yea i tried that Cworld place teh other day, they said i'd have to organise my own shipping (ie, get a courier company to pick it up) and they'd sell it minus aus Gst. BUt the thing was, that the dude i was emailing was adament it only had a x600 GPU (it should have the x700 - which i want) but every other model has the x700, and i'm sure they didn't make it with the x600. i might just got for that tho, $2200 excl aus gst + $100 ship + NZ GST = about $2600 all up |

| 423517 | 2006-01-26 05:08:00 | theres only 3 laptops out that suit what i want. and trust me, i've looked around (i've also posted heaps on notebookreview.com and all have resulted in 3 laptops) the requirements are 14" with a x700 GPU. the 3 laptops are: Acer aspire 5500 (not avail in NZ) sony BX or something - but that costs $5000+ and this Asus - which is the best of the 3 (has 128mb ram) I'll probably just get this one from cworld |

You do realise that Freedom Air only fly to the Gold Coast from Wellington? :) Fergie, did you try this store (www.cworld.com.au)? They seem to be a large business so surely could handle the GST part seeing as they deliver overseas. Yeah, I thought I'd just go up to Palmerston North. Only a 1.5hr drive away. Fergie, it's up to you - I'd love to go to Aussie again (went their a few years ago) but it's probably simpler to just get it shipped here. Looks like it will cost about the same in the end. |
