426766 2006-02-03 06:19:00 Anyone tried it? Just loaded it myself but when I tried to compile something gcc ain't there. Its not even available to install.

Have downloaded the rpm files off a SUSE site but getting dependency errors. I get there eventually but its a bit frustrating.

Looks really good though. Hopefully my wireless network card will work too.

426767 2006-02-03 07:05:00 GCC should be there. I remember a comment from one of the SuSE NZ developers from a mailing list and he said to:

quote:
Under Yast --> Software --> Change Source of Installation -->
suse.linux.co.nz (Add
this as http source)

Then under Yast --> Software --> Install Software (Search for gcc)

I've tried SuSE 10 (as a beta release) and it looked very swish and polished. Has some really neat configuration tools. :)

426768 2006-02-03 09:24:00 Yes, I think I saw the same post . For some strange reason it appears not to be on the dvd .

It is supposed to have improved wireless support . . . we shall see .
